Institute’s Innovation Council (IICs)

Establisment CertificateMinistry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India has established ‘MHRD’s Innovation Cell (MIC)’ to systematically foster the culture of Innovation amongst all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The primary mandate of MIC is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas while they are in formative years. MIC has envisioned creation of ‘Institute’s Innovation Council (IICs)’ across selected HEIs. A network of these IICs will be established to promote innovation in the Institution through multitudinous modes leading to an innovation promotion eco-system in these campuses.

Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Jinvani Management College, Ara

Our college have established Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) for promoting different activities related to the innovation, IPR, Start-up and entrepreneurships. Faculties and students are the members of IIC. The IIC cell conducts quarterly meetings in every quarter to plan the quarterly activities and review quarterly conducted activities. Due to these activities, students get chance to participate in various innovation related initiatives and competition organized by MHRD. Students actively interact with renowned entrepreneurs and academicians. They get opportunities to nurture their ideas. Jinvani Management College-IIC helps students to experiment latest technologies to get some prototype for building their confidence. Overall students get extremely healthy environment right from ideation to start-ups.

Major Focus of IIC

01. To create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem

02. Start-up/ entrepreneurship supporting Mechanism in HEIs.

03. Prepare institute for Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements Framework (ARRIA)

04. Establish Function Ecosystem for Scouting Ideas and Pre-incubation of Ideas

05. Develop better Cognitive Ability amongst Technology Students

Functions of Institutes’ Innovation Council

01. To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by Central MIC in time bounded fashion.

02. Identify and reward innovations and share success stories.

03. Organize periodic workshops/ seminars/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovators.

04. Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations.

05. Create an Institution’s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out by institution’s faculty and students.

06. Organize Hackathons, idea competition, mini-challenges etc with the involvement of industries.
